GLASSTRADE - Trade, treament and processing of sheet glass

The trade, treatment and processing of sheet glass have been fundamental pillars at
Glas Marte for decades. Even in the first factory on Fischergasse, glass was being cut and
drilled under extremely difficult conditions. Today all conceivable edge work, drilling, etc.
for finishings and glass design is being produced in Glas Marte workshops.

The stock represents all glass types imaginable and despite the large capital commitment, it is an important characteristic of Glas Marte’s scope of supply. More than 100 different cast glass, numerous mirror types and 150 types of both antique and genuine antique glass are kept in the largest and best sorted storeroom available in western Austria and eastern Switzerland. They are meant for glass retail and further processing.

Thanks to an active architectural scene, we became aware of Italy's new, etched, design glass as early as 1992. Thus, Glas Marte forged ahead since that time by supplying wholesale Italian etched glass with the trademark name SATINATO all over Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Alone, the Satinato palette comprises twenty other glass types. If you are interested in

Great importance is also taken in the production of complete glass doors with UV adhered
fittings or circulating frame profiles. UV-adhesive glass furniture made to specification is
also being produced. The growing interest for glass in the interior area calls for the
strengthening of these activities. In the coming years Glas Marte will increase its productivity
in the area of processing sheet glass.
