The GM Sliding Systems

Even in the early 80's architects asked us for light, filigreed, and wind and weatherproof balcony glazing. After closely studying the market, we could not find a suitable balcony glazing system apart from the existing heavily framed sliding systems.

This fact moved Glas Marte to develop the GM LIGHTROLL® systems (sliding glazing). The first lower running, sliding glazing system for exterior application that could inset single-panel safety glass without the use of an all-sided frame. The filigree and the lightness of the Glas Marte sliding systems influenced the architecture of the entire region.

Since this time, either Glas Marte or one of our many partners has installed more than
50,000 sliding sets in Vorarlberg and the surrounding area. The Glas Marte Bregenz
systems must exhibit following basic characteristics and advantages:

Through non-rusting materials, concealed brush seals and stainless steel, ball-bearing rollers.
