Aesthetic anti drop device

GM RAILING® PLAN impresses once again

Go Back

The Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences is being massively expanded – and Glas Marte has again been commissioned with the realisation of glass construction services. Our GM RAILING® PLAN 1 and 2 will also decorate and secure the enlarged educational campus from December 2019. Once again, multi-storey atria are planned, whose open appearance is still supported by our fall-protecting stair railings and parapets. A special feature and at the same time an architectural challenge is the floor-to-ceiling, curved, glass anti drop device on the fifth floor, behind which the future library will be located.

Third order in a row
Glas Marte had already been commissioned in 2016 and 2018 for glass construction services on the Heilbronn educational campus by the client, Schwarz Immobilienmanagement GmbH & Co.KG. Now we have again been awarded the contract to supply and assemble glass railings as anti drop device – a real proof of loyalty to our products and impeccable assembly. The cooperation at that time between Glas Marte, the local building supervisor Guggenberger+Ott and the architect Auer Weber was also decisive for this follow-up order.

Sound training in glass craftmanship
Not every glass fitter is qualified to solve such glass construction tasks. Years of training, learning by doing and the constant improvement of one's own skills and workflows make a good glass construction technician. Master glazer Robert Aichner, who is responsible for the successful training, is convinced of the high quality of the training. This is regularly underpinned not least by top rankings in apprentice competitions. In 2018, the best apprentice glazier in Austria was again trained at Glas Marte.
