Why a New Generation of Enameled Glass Was Needed

In architecture, every detail counts—especially when it comes to privacy, aesthetics, and durability. Many installers face a key challenge when working with white-enameled glass: lack of opacity, adhesives, substructures, or mounting points tend to show through, especially with light colors like white. The result: uncertainty during planning and installation.

How GM ESG COLORMART® Solves the Issue of White

Glas Marte has responded to this challenge with an innovative solution specifically designed for professional use in both indoor and outdoor applications:

GM ESG COLORMART® 1.1 is a thermally toughened single-pane safety glass compliant with EN 14179, which is coated with a ceramic pigment using a roller printing process. The color is fired into the glass at over 600°C—creating an extremely durable, UV-resistant, and abrasion-resistant surface.

Thanks to an optimized formula and precise application technology, COLORMART 1.1 offers:

  • High opacity: No show-through—even on dark backgrounds.
  • Color stability: Minimal variation in shade despite thermal stress.
  • Uniformity: A homogeneous color surface without pinholes or shadowing.
  • Ease of maintenance and durability: Scratch-resistant, chemical-resistant, and long-lasting.

What is enameled glass suitable for?

Enameled glass with high opacity is versatile—especially where design and technology meet:

  • Kitchen backsplashes and glass wall cladding
  • Shower enclosures, sanitary areas, and furniture
  • Facade glazing and balustrades
  • Public buildings with high hygiene requirements

Combining functionality, aesthetics, and safety, GM ESG COLORMART® 1.1 is the ideal solution for projects with the highest standards.
