Permanent slip resistance with GM ICE-H®

Go Back

Glass floors and glass stairs make rooms appear brighter and larger. Daylight can thus reach the lower floors of multi-storey buildings and stairwells. In addition to pleasant lighting conditions, glass also helps to save energy by reducing the need for artificial lighting. High legal and insurance hurdles must be overcome in order to realise this. With GM ICE-H®, Glas Marte not only offers visually appealing textured glass, but also ensures long-term compliance with the required standards.

Less wear

Stairs are subject to heavy wear and tear. That is why stair coverings need to be durable.
Thanks to a structure depth of up to 0.8 mm and a pronounced displacement space, even when dirty, GM ICE-H® offers long-lasting slip-resistant properties. This means that, in addition to its high design standards, the glass also meets a range of safety requirements. As a result, this technical glass can be used in many locations: floor coverings in halls, kitchens, sanitary rooms, corridors or on terraces and in entrance areas, as well as on stairs and in outdoor areas, gain additional appeal with GM ICE-H®.

Permanent structure

As the image on the right shows, the surface still has a distinct structure even after several years of use. This is demonstrated by long-term studies on steps with GM ICE-H® that were walked on in a heavily frequented area with hard footwear, such as street shoes and work boots, and exhibit a high degree of soiling. Seamless ICE-H® textured glass surfaces are easy to install and are also available in different designs on request. They achieve a very high light transmission rate.
