Bird protection is no longer just a concern for ornithologists and conservationists, but is now equally important to business, politics and society. Glas Marte has been addressing this issue for many years and continuously invests in research and development to offer innovative solutions. With Saflex® FlySafe™ 3D, Glas Marte is adding to its own bird protection measures with a solution that is highly effective and certified as ‘bird-friendly’.

Innovative technology, aesthetic appearance

Saflex® FlySafe™ 3D technology is based on 3D sequins applied in a precise grid pattern on a PVB film. The film is incorporated into laminated glass using standard manufacturing processes and is available with two sequin sizes, 6 or 9 mm in diameter. The sequins shine on the outside, absorb light at different angles and reflect it in a way that effectively warns birds of the glass surface. On the inside, the sequins are matt and arranged so that they do not impair aesthetics or visibility.
