Elegant and environmentally-friendly
GM LIGHT CHROME and GM CHROME impress with their fascinating light reflection, enhanced by a special coating, and are also available as insulating glass. Using a multi-layer process, the design is permanently and durably applied to the glass surface, resulting either in glazing with barely noticeable reflections – GM LIGHT CHROME – or in deep, striking contrasts as with GM CHROME. Despite their highly reflective, mirror-like coating, the glass products are exceptionally robust and suitable both for further processing into insulating glass and for use in laminated safety glass (VSG). In addition, complex patterns and colored prints can be achieved, with coatings applied to various types of glass such as tinted float glass or structured glass. Reflective designs effectively protect against bird collisions and provide additional solar control.
Color and Safety
GM ESG COLORMART® combines single-pane safety glass with a wide range of color options. This glass enables creative and secure applications for façades, interiors, and decorative projects. It offers high break resistance and vibrant colors that deliver impressive visual effects, while meeting the requirements of standard EN 14179. Perfect for architectural projects where design and safety are equally important, GM ESG COLORMART® opens up numerous design possibilities without compromising on stability.
For those who want to combine the proven safety of laminated glass with an impressive variety of colors, they must look no further than the GM VSG LAMIMART® COLOR. This colored safety glass creates strong design highlights – whether indoors or on the façade. Depending on the requirements, GM VSG LAMIMART® COLOR can be used in monolithic form with two or more panes or as part of an insulating glass unit. Glass and color films with identical or differing properties can be flexibly combined. In this way, laminated safety glass can be produced with additional functions such as sound insulation, thermal insulation, or solar control.
Design und Structure
High-quality GM PATTERNED GLASS stands out with its wide range of processing options: it can be tempered, laminated, and individually refined with color or printing. A defining feature of structured glass is its embossed surface, which creates a variety of patterns and designs. This translucent architectural glass allows spaces to be filled with natural light, while at the same time ensuring privacy and adding decorative accents. Patterned glass is used wherever visual protection is required without compromising on light transmission or an attractive appearance.
Safety and Stability
GM ESG SECURMART® offers outstanding durability and safety for a wide range of applications. This single-pane safety glass (ESG) withstands high mechanical stress and, in the event of breakage, shatters into small, harmless fragments. It is ideally suited for glass façades, sliding doors, insulating glazing, interior doors, shower enclosures, and partition walls. For even greater safety, there is GM ESG-H SECURMART®, which undergoes a heat-soak test. This process significantly reduces the risk of spontaneous breakage caused by nickel sulfide inclusions, making it particularly recommended for demanding applications.
Bullet Proof Glass
UNIGLAS® SAFE is a bullet-resistant glazing system available as laminated safety glass (LSG) or insulating glass. In protection class BR4, for example, UNIGLAS® SAFE provides reliable defense against firearms such as a Magnum. This glazing is ideal for locations with the highest security requirements, including government buildings, embassies, banks, and private residences. Its specialized glass structure efficiently absorbs the kinetic energy of projectiles and prevents penetration. Both splintering (S) and non-splintering (NS) versions are available, ensuring enhanced personal safety while keeping the interior side intact.
