Why glass?

Effective disinfection against COVID-19 is only possible on glass. Transparent plastics such as acrylite glass ("Plexiglas", "PMMA") do not stand up to treatment with those substances that act against the corona virus: these plastics are damaged by disinfection with the appropriate means. That is because chemical disinfectants contain 62 to 71% ethanol and 0.1% sodium hypochlorite, which attack the plastics. Cracks form, as a result of which the minimum hygienic standards are no longer guaranteed. Glass, on the other hand, can be cleaned regularly with these chemicals. SPIT PROTECTION AND EYE PROTECTION PREVENT DROPLET INFECTION

When a person sneezes, coughs or speaks, pathogens such as corona viruses get into the air from the throat or respiratory tract via tiny droplets of saliva and are then inhaled by another person. Corona viruses can also be absorbed through the mucous membranes of the eyes. This is called droplet infection. Thanks to the impermeable spit protection and eye protection made of glass, such a droplet infection is prevented, for example, in shops, medical practices, hotels, cafés and restaurants. But the glass guard also keeps viruses and other pathogens at bay in daily office work and wherever documents need to be exchanged.
