Maximum flexibility for almost any weather situation
The balcony offers additional living space in summer. But how do you use it in winter, in wind or bad weather? A balcony or patio means space in your own four walls. With balcony glazing, the balcony becomes a conservatory.

According to your wishes. Inside and out. Balcony and loggia.
Enjoy your very personal view – even in winter. Thanks to the versatile application possibilities of our sliding glazing for balcony and loggia, many cold days can be spent comfortably in the warm, especially during the transition period, without having to do without sun and nature.

The conservatory as an extension of the living space
We have no influence on the seasons. But we can make sure that we can still experience nature 365 days a year. A conservatory is much more than just an extension made of glass and it quickly becomes a favourite place in your own home. As an independent room, the conservatory forms an important interface with the greenery and is thus the ideal extension of the living space.

Extending the warm season
Sliding glazing literally broadens the horizon. Balconies, loggias, patios, or a traditional Bregenzerwald "Schopf"  look bigger and also the living room shines in a completely different light. Despite the transparency to the outside world, privacy is maintained in your own home. The delicate solutions ensure an extension of the warm season in your own home.

Tips and tricks in planning

Whether the outdoor area is to be redesigned, the patio is to be supplemented by seating area glazing or the balcony is to be protected from wind, weather and sound – our glazing systems offer the necessary flexibility.

Thoughts in advance
First of all, it is important to define the objectives of a redesign: usability 365 days a year or only in the warmer months, absolute lockability or flexible opening option, demarcation from or interaction with the environment. Structural conditions must also be taken into account if one is interested in new glazing: Is there a parapet, what material is the substructure made of, at what height is the outdoor area, how much space is available, are there design regulations imposed by a housing community?

Solutions for everyone

Glas Marte sliding systems are frameless and therefore extremely slender. They blend seamlessly into the architecture of the house without changing its character. Depending on the structural specifications to be met, there are top-hung or bottom mounted sliding elements, floor-to-ceiling solutions or systems that extend from the parapet to the ceiling.

They are also suitable for less deep balconies, as the operation is linear and the glass panes do not have to be folded to the side. Our sliding systems offer maximum flexibility, protect against wind, weather and sound when completely closed, connect the outside world with your very private living area when half or completely open and provide for an extension of the warm season. The glassy transparency gives the feeling of being outdoors even when the sliding door elements are closed. Nevertheless, the protection against unfavourable weather conditions or noise remains. Thanks to the individual design of the glass, full or partial sight screening is also possible.

Quality that pays for itself

Easy to operate
Our sliding systems are designed to be easy to operate. The appearance is not disturbed by discreet handles that fit comfortably in the hand. By means of a comfort package, for example, the glass panes are coupled to each other and thus all are operated at once. By simply tapping with the foot, the sliding elements are unlocked again and can be moved back and forth completely freely.

High-quality, weather-resistant materials
The glass panes of the sliding elements are held by aluminium profiles. In addition, stainless steel and weather-resistant brushes are used, so that the sliding systems can be exposed to weather conditions without problems. Horizontal, open brushes, which are more usually exposed to water and icing, are generally dispensed with.

Sight screen
Glass is a versatile building material. As a specialist in safety glass production and glass processing, Glas Marte has various possibilities to prevent unwanted insights: Sandblasting, screen or photo printing as well as colour foils or textiles integrated into the glass are not only decorative, but also offer the desired privacy.

Protection against wind, weather and sound
Sliding systems provide maximum flexibility: Opening of the balcony in fair weather, shielding from unwanted noise and adverse weather conditions through closed sliding elements. When the sliding panes are closed, the visibility is still unobstructed thanks to the frameless systems and the feeling of sitting outdoors is preserved.

Planning and implementation

Your own four walls are an expression of personality and a retreat at the same time – so it's all the more important that they are not only designed according to individual style, but also provide security. Longevity, fitting accuracy and functionality are therefore important criteria when choosing the right balcony glazing.

Glas Marte has developed systems that are individually tailored to personal needs and can be adapted to structural conditions. We attach great importance to having our products installed by selected specialist companies and we maintain long-standing partnerships with our dealers.
