Transparent and reflective glass surfaces are not recognised by birds and are one of the greatest challenges in urban bird protection. For architects, planners and façade construction professionals, this means that bird protection is now an integral part of responsible building design.

The partial chrome finishes are reflective glass solutions that are permanently applied to float glass, textured glass or coloured variants using a multi-layer process. This creates long-lasting motifs – as patterns, lettering or ornaments – that are visible to birds and also serve as a visual design element.

  • GM LIGHT CHROME offers a finer reflection, almost invisible at close range, but still effective in bird protection.
  • GM CHROME creates clear contrasts and a high mirror effect – ideal for applications with a strong visual presence.
     

The technology allows maximum creative freedom with proven protective effect – even in combination with insulating glass, ESG, VSG or as laminated glass with edge enamel. There is no static weakening as with conventional screen printing.

Is the glass suitable for renovations?
